Amarillo College will present its annual Music Department Student Honors Recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 in the Concert Hall Theater. Students selected to perform on the Honors Recital are chosen based upon faculty recommendations following December juries. The recital showcases outstanding student musicians who have demonstrated exceptional performance skill and artistry.

JAM with Love, a vibrant celebration of musical collaboration and artistic expression, will be presented in two February performances showcasing the Amarillo College music faculty. The program highlights an eclectic lineup of musicians and repertoire spanning classical, jazz, popular music, and film favorites, while underscoring the depth and quality of AC’s performing faculty musicians.

The shoes he set out to fill were spacious, but Cade Foard, a music major at Amarillo College, was driven by familial allegiance and undaunted by the challenge.

This past August, the gifted AC violinist earned a seat on the Amarillo Symphony, where his father, the late Orin Foard, had impeccably performed as a bassist for more than 25 years.
